On the first day of OFF-Festival, as the headliners of Perlage (main) Stage, performed Durand Jones & The Indications.
Hailed by both critics and fans of soul music as the genre’s greatest hope, this Louisian vocalist and his band play a cutting-edge, modern take on the genre with subtle influences from related music such as rock, blues and jazz.
At their concert in Katowice they presented not only a cross-section of material they have recorded within half a decade of their activity, but also some timeless classics. And they played it so marvellously they got the entire audience counting in thousands to dance to it.
