Ladies’ Jazz Festival is an annual event, taking place each July in Gdynia since 2005. The concerts take place primarily in Gdynia Music Theatre and Kashub Philharmonic, but also on the urban open air. On this festival the audience can witness the musical craft of the world class ladies, who present not only the conventional jazz compositions, but also elements of soul, blues and other music genres.
It is this very festival that gives Gdynia claim to be the world’s capital city of female jazz for those couple of July days!

July 19 – Stacey Kent.
Undeniably, she is the star of the Ladies’ Jazz Festival. Her global career, not only Polish, took off after a concert at the first Ladies’ Jazz Festival in Gdynia in 2005: a contract with Blue Note, Grammy nominations, titles and awards.
July 20 – Fábia REBORDÃO – Portuguese blues, jazz, morna and bolero in one. This is a must see and hear!
