Great celebration of Lemko culture live again! Lemko Vatra is back.

Lemkowska Watra in Zdynia is a cyclic festival gathering Lemkos from all over the world. This summer meeting is a unique opportunity to come into contact with the living Lemko culture in its original sites.

Although Lemkowska Watra is a festival combining various elements of Lemko culture, in our opinion, the music played there deserves special recognition. And this year we can count on extraordinary concerts – as the organizer writes, “The stage will be dominated by energetic sounds, rock with a strong beat, folk with real power and club music drawn from traditional folk sources.

This year, the festival will feature performances by Kapela Siwego, Hylla, Hrdza, Luiku and Tuhaj-bej, among others. There‘s plenty to listen to!

As part of Lemkos‘ Watra there will also be a series of interesting meetings with authors, concerning books and publications of the highest quality. It will be possible to meet and listen even to authors recognized even abroad.

The live audience participation program will take place between July 16 and 18. Transmission of Lemkos‘ Watra will be seen on 24 and 25 July this year. This year, because the organizers are concerned about security, all author meetings will be held online, without the participation of the audience.
