Copernicon is one of the most important events on the Polish convention calendar. Every year, it takes place in the very heart of Toruń.
Hundreds of panels and talks are divided into thematic tracks — from pop culture, through RPGs, to cosplay — and are held across multiple venues throughout Toruń’s Old Town, creating a truly unique atmosphere.
One of Copernicon’s most distinctive features is that the convention doesn’t take place in a single location.
At first glance, hosting an event across multiple venues might seem a bit inconvenient for participants, who sometimes need to move between locations to attend different panels. However, the entire concept — seamlessly blended into the beautiful Old Town of Toruń — only adds charm to the festival. Walking the cobbled streets between venues and encountering costumed attendees along the way is part of the magic.
What also sets Copernicon apart is the fact that perhaps no other convention in Poland is so heavily co-created by its fans, and there are thousands of them.
It’s definitely worth being in Toruń during this time and attending Copernicon. Even if you’re not normally into games or pop culture, there’s truly something here for everyone.
