"Kyiv-Donetsk": I had goosebumps when I saw this train

Ukrainian singer SWOIIA presented to the public a new video clip for the track “Bird”. This is the first video work of the artist in 2024, which was filmed in the most iconic locations of the capital.

The director was Anton Pozhidayev, known for his work with Svitlana Tarabarova, Oleksandr Voloshin, PROBASS ∆ HARDI and others.

“Acquaintance with this story is like a certain coincidence. One day, I went to Instagram and saw Katya’s story. I have subscribed to it for a long time, since the time of Assol, and even more so, we are compatriots. Later, her manager wrote to me, and that’s how we started our cooperation,” comments the director.

“The meaning and message of this song immediately felt close to me. I felt something special in her. Because we all have now become like birds that fly from city to city and create their new homes. Moving, not having enough time to be together – it’s all about our present,” shared SWOIIA.

In the story of the clip, there is a train, which is the very magnet between relatives, because it can bring us closer to the people dearest to us. The singer herself tells in this song that all of us are ready to go a long way for the sake of our relatives, just to hug and see our relatives.

“When I arrived at the location, I had tears and ants. After all, the train in which we filmed had the direction “Kyiv-Donetsk”. For me, this story is especially touching, because it is my homeland – Donetsk region.   I want all of us to return to our native home as soon as possible. And it was these feelings that gave me the understanding that I’m doing everything right, that I’m on the right creative path,” SWOIIA comments.

The authors of the song “Bird” were Andrii Parfenov and Dmytro Baskakov, whose team was also present at the filming of the video. And as Andriy said: “I am very happy that you sang this song! Because it was SWOIIA that conveyed it in a special way.”
