Copernicon 2025 – Step into the Multiverse of Science, Pop Culture, and Fantasy

Copernicon in Toruń is the largest fantasy and science-themed festival in this part of Poland. For over a decade, it has earned incredible recognition from people across Poland and around the world. Step into the multiverse in Toruń on September 20–22 during this year’s edition of Copernicon.

Take a look at the fun from Copernicon 2022!

This year’s edition will take place from September 20th to 22nd under the slogan “Step into the Multiverse.” Copernicon is not just a typical convention with cosplay, panels, and board games. It offers participants a true sense of immersion in its unique atmosphere. The event brings together a wide range of activities — from author meetups, numerous contests, workshops, and shows, to board games and video games.

It’s the perfect opportunity to dive into the world of your favorite characters, share your passions, and discover new and fascinating creators.
Since 2010, it has continuously brought together an ever-growing audience. In 2019, over 3,800 attendees filled the Old Town of Toruń, placing Copernicon among the most beloved fantasy-themed festivals in Poland.

The festival is divided into several thematic tracks, so everyone can explore the full diversity of the event and find something that suits their interests: Board Games, Cosplay, Literary, Workshop, Animation, Film, Contest, Fandom, Pop Culture, Popular Science, RPG, Video Games, LARP (improvised theater of imagination), Asian, and Off-Festival Attractions.

Secial Guests Copernicon 2025

Every year, Copernicon invites fascinating figures from the world of culture. This year, one of the special guests will be Arshania Cosplay, a costume creator since 2014, inspired by games and fantasy. She has collaborated with Blizzard on promotional projects for World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. She’s best known for her portrayals of Panam Palmer (Cyberpunk 2077) and Jaina Proudmoore (World of Warcraft). Arshania regularly serves on cosplay competition juries, gives talks, and shares her experience with the community.

The event also wouldn’t be complete without Michał Bańka (Baniak) – the biggest RPG influencer in Poland. Since 2013, he has been creating role-playing sessions and content, collaborating with celebrities such as Abelard GizaJoanna Kołaczkowska, and Cyber Marian. He runs the RPG Media publishing house. His sessions and commentary on the RPG world have made him a recognizable face in the Polish fandom.

The festival will also feature Lola – a pioneer of the Polish cosplay scene. A frequent cosplay judge and participant in international finals, she’s known for her impressive “creature cosplays” and remarkable creativity. She holds legendary status in the convention community.

During the convention, a 24-hour Gamesroom will be available. Throughout the day – and even at night – you’ll be able to play board games or borrow them.

The event is organized by the Thorn Association of Game and Fantasy Enthusiasts.

Good to Know

Location

Copernicon 2025 will take place in the heart of Toruń’s Old Town – across multiple buildings located in the city center, including the Collegium Minus of Nicolaus Copernicus University, the Old Town Hall, and several nearby schools and cultural institutions. This setup allows attendees to fully absorb the atmosphere of gothic Toruń while walking between program venues.

Getting There

From Toruń Główny (Main Train Station), you can easily reach the Old Town by public transport (tram lines 1 and 5 or buses), taxi, or on foot (approx. 25-minute walk).

For those arriving by car, parking outside the strict city center is recommended (e.g., on Odrodzenia StreetSzosa Chełmińska, or large P&R parking lots) as Toruń’s Old Town is a paid parking zone and can get very crowded during the festival.

Tickets

Several types of passes/tickets are available for this year’s edition of Copernicon:

  • Regular 3-day ticket – 169 PLN
  • 3-day ticket for children (6–12 years old) – 85 PLN
  • Group 3-day ticket (min. 5 people) – 149 PLN per person
  • Patron Package – 319 PLN (includes additional benefits)

One-day tickets:

  • Friday – 89 PLN
  • Saturday – 129 PLN
  • Sunday – 89 PLN

Sleeproom (overnight stay in a shared sleeping area) – 20 PLN

Tickets can be purchased through the official Copernicon store.

Food

Toruń’s Old Town offers a wide variety of food options – from local diners and pizzerias, to cozy cafés and food trucks. In previous years, special food zones were also available near key festival locations.

Accommodation

The organizers plan to reopen the Sleep Room – a festival sleeping zone where participants can stay overnight in a safe indoor space using their own sleeping bag and mat. Details and registration are available on the official event website.
