In Warsaw, the beginning of summer is marked with Wianki nad Wisłą. This extraordinary event takes place at the end of June in the Multimedia Fountain Park in Podzamcze. Participants can expect many attractions referring to the rituals and traditions of Kupala Night. The event ends with a unique concert.
A long tradition
Wianki nad Wisłą has been attracting both Warsaw residents and visitors for 30 years. For one day, participants can travel back in time to a Slavic settlement and ancient rituals, such as throwing wreaths on the river. The celebrations begin with a picnic for the whole family and wreath-making and Slavic handicraft workshops.Wianki nad Wisłą also includes dancing and singing shows of folk groups.
