The 19 edition of Ladies’ Jazz Festival is over. Gdynia, as usual, did not disappoint.
Several concerts were inaugurated with a high C by Lizz Wright.
Nancy Vieira, who performed on July 22 on Saturday, literally enchanted the Musical Theatre. It was her next visit to our country. Anyway, as she says herself, nowhere is she so warmly and warmly received.
Her music is an extraordinary story about the people living in Cabo Verde. There is reverie, melancholy, but also an incredible joy of life.
A joy that flows perfectly with every note.
Nancy came to the concert in Gdynia, as she herself admitted, with a slightly improvised band due to the illness of one of her regular musicians, but the musicians were an extraleague in their industry. Marin OLMO and Ruca Rebordã, who run many other musical projects themselves, perfectly complemented Nancy’s extraordinary voice.
We are looking forward to Nancy’s next return to Poland and next year for the 20th edition of the Ladies’ Jazz Festival.
