On the weekend of November 24-25, 2023, we enjoyed participating in the tenth edition of the Poznań Beer Fair—an event is bringing together lovers of beer, delicious food, and an amazing atmosphere.
The event is perfect for spending time with friends, combining integration with tasting – that’s what PBF participants said.
During the two days of the event, participants could visit nearly 50 stands of regional and craft Polish breweries, cideries, and mead makers.
In addition, an active games zone, beer yoga, wrestling, and knight shows are just a fraction of the attractions offered to us at the beer fair.
There were pub quizzes and an open masterclass on stage. Participants could also participate in tax lectures on problems affecting the beer industry. In addition to spending pleasant, stress-free time, there is also space for important topics – health. During the fair, men could have a free testicular ultrasound performed.
Interestingly, all these attractions were located in the hall. Placing the exhibitors on one level was a perfect solution. Firstly, it allowed us to avoid the impression of overcrowding that occurs when the event takes place in several smaller rooms or levels, and secondly, it did not limit the availability of exhibitors – sometimes higher floors are skipped by participants.
A big advantage was “inviting” food trucks to the interior of the building. During autumn editions of events, we often have to deal with unpredictable weather – with the freezing rain falling, it was an extraordinary convenience.
What did the participants of the Poznań Beer Fair tell us about the event?
“I am here because my father loves beer, I am here for him, to accompany him on this beautiful day, for him, it is like a national holiday. I drink this beer to please him because I am a good son.”
“We are generally weekend foodies. We most often drink Poznań Leszek. But we are here because my uncle brews beer at the ***** brewery, and we can’t get it in our village.”
“We are a group of friends who wanted to spend time together over a beer.”
“I try to experience new things, such events are perfect for testing and discovering my own tastes.”
“We work together, (at the fair) we combine integration with tasting.”
So who is the Beer Fair intended for? For every beer fan!
More and more breweries are opening their brewhouses to new beer styles, so you can find something for yourself at every stand. Come and take care of your palate, and once you’ve filled your glass, enjoy the games and attractions!
